Answer: That is like asking for someone’s social security number. Why would a company want their private information to be public?

Question: Anyone have Quantum Employment’s EIN?

Hello everyone… I did some minor temp work for Quantum Employment (in Austin, TX) late last year. Does anyone out there know their tax id number (also called an EIN)? It can be found on the W2. And before you suggest it… I am aware they have until January 31 to mail them out, so no need to enlighten me with that information (I have my reasons for asking here, and I’d prefer not to explain). I’ve also tried various “EIN” websites to look up the information and nobody has it listed. Also, the information is not on any pay stub, and I’ve already tried calling them (they refer you to corporate, who is extremely rude and uncooperative). I would just like to know if anyone has it handy. If you don’t, no need to answer. Thanks for any help.

Answer: As an example CVS has a different EIN for every state they do business in.

Plus I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but W2s this year don't have to be out until February 2, since January 31 falls on a Saturday.
