Answer: The EIN is issued in the name of your business. If your business name is your name (i.e. no DBA certificate filed with your state) then you'll need to update that if your name changes. If you use a DBA and the business' name doesn't change there's no need to update the EIN records BUT you still need to have your name changed on the record as the contact person.
