Question: Is there an online database where I can find companies’ tax identification numbers?

I have an American Company name, and I need to find the tax identification number… In particular, it is based in New Jersey… If I understood correctly this issue, should they have both a NJ tax id no and a federal tax id..?

Answer: If it is a publicly traded company, it would be on annual statements filed with the SEC. You can access them through Yahoo Finance.
