Jerusalem is probably the most unique city when it comes to religious significance. It is the only city in the world which is believed to be holy by Jewish, Christians and Muslims alike. Old City of Jerusalem is the historical part of the city which was built by 16th century Ottoman Empire. Old City is further separated culturally into four different Quarters. It is divided in Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Armenian Quarter. If you are looking for a place to stay in Old City on a tight budget, then try some youth hostels as they are the cheapest places to stay. From low to medium range hospitals, you can try the Christ Church Guest House which is an old Christian hospice.

There are some other nice hotels in this price range in Old City. Old City doesn’t provide any luxury accommodation. For some good luxury hotels, West Jerusalem is the best in the city. This district has many mid range and luxury hotels for those who like to spend their vacation in style. If you don’t want to spend way too much on accommodation, then make a reservation in the Jerusalem YMCA International Three Arches Hotel which is the most opulent YMCA in the world.

The Tower Hotel Jerusalem is also a good option in this price range. For luxury and world class comfort, you can choose the The King David Hotel, Dan Panorama and The David Citadel Hotel all of which are world famous hotel chains. If you want to reside in ultra orthodox Jewish are of Chareidi Jerusalem, then Ramat Tamir Hotel is a good option.

This part of the city is the Jewish center of Jerusalem and is exclusively inhabited by Jewish population. Jerusalem is one of those cities where you will see different religious sects residing together, yet there is prevalent segregation.

Thus, make sure that you book your hotel in Jerusalem which suits you and your lifestyle. For example, people in the more Orthodox parts of the city won’t like if you wear short skirts or engage in some public display of affection. Almost every hotel in Israel, serves kosher meals, but you can also find other kinds of food.

Question: Do banks notify the IRS when you open a business bank account?

I am starting a small home business as a sole-proprietorship (DBA), and will be using my social security number in lieu of a federal tax id. I was just curious if bank reporting policies were different for business accounts from those of personal accounts. Thanks!
