This is for the state of Maryland. I’m single, 26 years old and I only have one exemption (myself). I made $11,531.35 last year. I had $482.69 in Maryand state taxes withheld. I had $536.67 in federal taxes. Can someone give me an estimate of the state refund. Also, what would my federal refund be?

Answer: Dear Mike: Maryland has different county tax assessments, but I figure your MD taxes at $427.58. The MD website dept of revenue defaults to Baltimore county. Go to the website and put in your numbers and your correct county.
