Question: How can I obtain a business credit card using only my TIN?
Are there any credit card companies that provide credit to small businesses using only their Tin Or EIN as opposed to my social Security number. And also, once I receive a number from Dun and Bradstreet do they create a create profile for me or how does that work exactly?
Answer: I am not aware of any cards which do not require the applicant's SSN. If you see that, it's a sure fire sign you are not getting business credit, but personal credit. I am only aware of Staples and Dell who offer credit based solely on the business TIN.
You may want to get approved for those and, if appropriate, use them to establish business credit.
Every credit card application I see requires the SSN on the applicant. You can bet this will be on your report as an inquiry.
